This new packaging is characterized by being antimicrobial, antioxidant and ethylene absorbing and allows to extend the shelf life of fresh products by 30%, reducing waste and improving food safety.
The innovative technology of this packaging is nanoencapsulated essential oils in the cardboard coating emulsion. The release of essential oils is progressive and only occurs when the product is packed in the box, when the relative humidity is high near the surface of the box walls. This process makes it possible to control rottenness, oxidation, dehydration and over-ripening of the products in a much more efficient way.
